PFSO Training Concluded to Strengthen Port Security Capabilities
Aimed to enhance staff readiness to meet international maritime security standards.
Malé, 26 April 2026 – Learning & Development Department (LDD) has successfully concluded a Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Training program aimed at strengthening port security and ensuring compliance with international maritime standards.
The four day training sessions were designed to train security personnel's with the knowledge and technical expertise required to effectively manage port security operations. A key area of the program included a comprehensive review of port vulnerability assessments and the development of security plans to mitigate potential risks.
A total of 13 staff members participated in the training, which was conducted by Captain Ahmed Zubair.
