Hiriya School Students Visit Maldives Ports Limited as Part of “Badhahi” Program

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) had the pleasure of hosting 25 students from Hiriya School on 26th April 2025. The visit was part of an interactive educational field trip organized under MPL’s “Badhahi” Program initiative.

The students were given a unique opportunity to witness port operations and cargo handling processes firsthand. Through guided tours and interactive sessions with MPL staff, they gained valuable insights into the critical role ports play in facilitating trade and supporting the national economy.

As part of the Badhahi Program, MPL aims to foster community engagement and inspire the younger generation by offering real-world exposure to the maritime and logistics sectors. During the visit, students observed key operational areas, including cargo unloading, storage facilities, and logistics coordination—enhancing their understanding of port management and the supply chain process.

MPL remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that raise awareness of the maritime industry and encourage future participation in this vital sector. The company looks forward to welcoming more schools and community groups in the future, further strengthening ties between the port and the community.

This successful visit reflects MPL’s ongoing efforts to contribute to educational development and promote knowledge sharing within the community.
