Dhiggaru School Students Visit MPL Under Badhahi Program

Inspiring Young Minds Through Firsthand Port Experience

Malé, 19 July 2025 – As part of the Badhahi Program, CSR initiative by Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), a group of 23 students from Meemu Dhiggaru visited the MPL headquarters and Malé Commercial Harbor on 19th July 2025.

The visit offered students a firsthand look into the daily functions and vital operations of the national port. The program was designed to educate and inspire young minds about careers and responsibilities within the maritime and logistics sector.

During the visit, students attended engaging presentations by various MPL departments, where they learned about port operations, cargo handling, safety procedures, and the role MPL plays in supporting the Maldivian economy. They also had the opportunity to tour Malé Commercial Harbor, where they observed real-time port activities and vessel operations up close.

The Badhahi program is part of MPL’s broader commitment to youth development and knowledge sharing. Through such initiatives, MPL aims to encourage awareness and spark interest in the maritime field among students from across the country.

MPL expresses its appreciation to Dhiggaru School for their participation and looks forward to welcoming more students in the future through similar educational visits.
